55th Annual Archdiocese Convention: July 25-28

The Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church for the Eastern United States and St. Mark's Syriac Orthodox Cathedral will be hosting the 55th Annual Archdiocesan Convention July 25-28 at the Glenpointe Marriott Hotel in Teaneck, NJ. Please note, the church will be closed on Sunday July 28th; instead, morning prayers will be at the convention hotel at 9 am and Holy Liturgy will be celebrated there at 10 am. Other notes that weekend: For kids 3-years and older during the convention, there is special Sunday School activities, on Saturday, July 27th from 11:45-1:15 here at our church.  We have special shuttles to get here from the MAC center for those who don’t have a ride. Introduction of Suboro TV

This is a special channel for our Syriac Orthodox Church which aims at spreading the word of God and transmitting the faith and traditions of our Holy Church. Please attend. This event will be at the Suryoyo Social Hall at the MAC center. The event will be followed by refreshments.

Thanksgiving Liturgy + Dinner at Church

The Suryani American Association (SAA) will be hosting our Annual Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day Thursday Nov. 28, after Holy Liturgy (3 pm). Our annual Super Bowl party is set for February 11 at the Syriac Community Center. Food, drinks and big screen TV. Kickoff is  6:30pm. This is a joint event with St. Mark’s and we look forward to a big crowd.

Sunday School Clothing & Shoe Fund Drive

Join our Sunday School staff in its annual clothing & shoe drive. Donate your clothing, shoes, apparel, and other household items to help support our Sunday School. All items must be tied in plastic bags before dropping off at church on Sunday March 3, 10, and 17.
